Yes ! It is almost time for our General Assembly and I am so excited ! We have been preparing for the show since Summer and I think the show prepared by the Performing Arts Group as well the School Spirit Competition is definitely going to be awesome! I wish all the teams goodluck! See you all on September 2 at the Atrium , Limketkai at 3 pm for GA Pearl! Together let us celebrate 30 years of Exceptional Education!

Synergy for GMA

Our pride and Juicy's Regional Champions were busy during the summer . Rehearsals everyday on top of Summer classes plus shows that needed three production numbers were lined up . The girls of Synergy determined to show what their made of - levels up and goes overtime for another three hours!

GMA girls dances for the Kapuso Baranggayan at Macasandig . It was fun for the girls ! Thank you GMA for taking care of Synergy ;-)

Jaden Smith you are adorable!

Teambloggista, I watched Karate Kid last week and I had the best time ever! I had great company plus Jaden Smith is really adorable ! The story is about a boy who moves to China with his Mom . He struggles in his first few days but finds strength in character when he meets his friend and karate teacher ( Jackie Chan) . The film does not stray from the original Karate Kid story but I must say Jaden Smith is such a good actor. Plus his killer move in the end is awesome!!! I was crushing on him while watching the movie! The film is a must see and it captures your heart as you see Jaden go through the process . I give it 3.5 buckets of popcorn !

Work hard and Play Hard!

Yes we work so hard to make sure we give you the best shows in MdO . We are young but we are exceptional - we have gained accolades in singing , dancing , and even excel in Academics. We are the Performing Arts Group - part of MdO's elite !

So for two moths on top of our Summer classes we have been rehearsing with our voice coaches, learning new choreography etc. , pictorials for 2010 Back to School Campaign etc.

oh yes ! we had a busy Summer but we also know how to have fun !!!

We had a school blessing and so we helped grill some chicken , we had lechon , spaghetti, chicken macaroni , buko jello lychee salad etc. Yum! The priests blessed all the rooms at the Main and in the Highschool Campus . We also got a sprinkle from Father , so I think it'll be a very smooth sailing year for me :-)

Yes I know everyone is super excited about MdO's 30th year celebration and General Assembly 2010! But before we get ahead of ourselves let's enjoy the beautiful high-school billboard at Carmen. It is a fact that Montessori de Oro is one of the best in Cagayan de Oro. MdO Highschool's claim to fame is that it has been ranked as the number 1 Highschool in Region 10 and Northern Mindanao and is in the top 250 schools in the whole Philippines. This year is our beloved MdO's 30th year of providing nothing but the best Education in CDO! Check out our two billboards at Carmen :-) The pictures were taken by Lakshmi Owner and Photographer Jiva Jimenez. The models are Little Miss MdO Raphael Toring , Alyssa Maandig , Kelly Ranoja with Gold Medalists Rainier Rotoras and Jason Ng . In the photo the MdO kids are celebrating MdO's 30th year of Exceptional Education! The Fireworks on the background are real fireworks it won a medal in a prestigious photo competition . At 30 , MdO moves forward in Educating Minds, Encouraging Achievements , and Exceptional Education !

Movie Review : Prince of Persia

After our wonderful bonding dinner with our PAG friends , Thea and I decided to watch a movie at SM . When we got to SM we bought our tickets for Jake Gyllenhaal's movie The Prince of Persia " The Sands of Time". Of course we got our snacks and were so excited to see how the video game turned out to be. With a power cast of Oscar Nominated Actors I knew I was going to have a wonderful time watching the movie!

The story is about about an adventurous Prince working together with a rival princess to reveal the true killer of his father and stop his uncle from corrupting the mind of his brother the King . There's more to it but , I don't want to ruin your movie experience . I must say the movie was well-edited and it was truly action packed . Every moment I was flinching because of all the effects and exciting parts in the movie. I give the movie three and a half tumblers because I really had fun and Jake G. really looked hot in the movie ! Now Jake G. has joined the lists of my hollywood hunk favorites including Wolverine Hugh Jackman and of course my Edward Robert Pattinson :-)

These past few weeks , with the elections and all , I know fellow Falcons that you have been monitoring the news ;-) And your teambloggista correspondent has been glued to the tube just like you, not just because of the elections but because I so much love the MDO EXCEPTIONAL EDUCATION AD! I am so proud of Mark and Lyka -because when they had to pitch for their spiel , they really impressed even the GMA crew ;-) Way to go Mark and Lyka , like you I believe in the MdO way!Thank you for making me smile during commercial break , your ad is indeed refreshing amongst the repetitive political ads ;-)

Fun Summer without breaking the bank !

This Summer like most of my friends I joined the bandwagon and I am playing fb's online games. I think its the best way for me to save myself from boredom and to save money . So far I am loving it ! So let's talk about Farmtown, I love how interactive it is and how we get to go to the market and offer to harvest or plow for people from different countries and places. I also like how I can decorate my farm and make money when I hire people to do the work for me. When I started, level 34 was the highest level and because Farmtown fans asked for more perks like another farm expansion, and themes the developers of Zynga gave in :-) Now my favorite game is over level 34 yeah ! yeah! I'd like to share the mechanics and how to go about it, but I think the best way is for you to try out the game. But if I were to rate the game I'd give it a 9 over 10 and it has the highest ratings for me because it is interactive and other games are not . Give it a try - in time your farm may be the best one on the block ;-)

Are you a Belieber?

So this is long overdue and I really have to write about him . First because I am crushing on him like most of you are *wink* wink* Justin Bieber is making waves , in France he made such a spectacle that he had to be escorted by so many Policemen. This guy is just on fire , his concert was even cancelled in one of the places he visited to because the fans just went so wild over him . So , what makes Justin Bieber so special ? Well first of , Justin has the looks , talent , and the star power! I am so in love with his song " One less lonely girl" . Online social networks are crazy about Justin and on Twitter , its trending always at the top . So, fellow falcons are you a Belieber too? I hope we'll hear more of his music in years to come :-)

I am liking what I am hearing on Campus Radio and IFM ! Our MdO kids are really special! Mark Gementiza and Lyka Barrientos are the new MdO"Hello Kids" talents. From the very first year MdO started ( 1980) " Hello Kids" was used as a tagline .During those times MdO was in the forefront of advertising on the radio and tv, after a few years other schools joined the bandwagon.As a tradition MdO would use " Hello kids " to remind parents that enrollment is open at MdO. Since 1980 and every year thereafter , during the summer campaign the search for MdO's voice over talent was schoolwide . This year MdO continues our tradition as we celebrate our 30th year in providing Exceptional Education to our students! Catch you at MDO!

Fe 2 movie review ;-)

I haven't gone to a movie for the longest time! So one day when the lights were scheduled to be out for five hours on my side of the city , I decided to go and watch Iron Man2. I didn't watch Iron Man 1 , but I knew that the reviews were good so I was excited to watch Iron Man 2. When I got to SM , my friends and I went to buy our tickets. We then got our snacks for the movie , of course we got our favorite KFC hotshots , popcorn and sodas :-) It was a weekend, so there was a long cue at SM Cinema 2. I waited patiently looking at the poster of Iron Man 2 and at the star studded line up. I like Robert Downey Jr. , Scarlett Johansson, Gwyneth Paltrow, Mickey Rourke , Sam Jackson , and Don Cheadle . They have Academmy Awards Nominees and a winner. So far so good ;-)

The movie started with Robert Downey's character having a big celebration for being Iron Man . Looking at the effects , I was impressed with how good the suit looked on Iron Man - he even looked hotter wearing it than without it. So Robert Downey is the billionaire and inventor of the coveted Iron Man suit and it is public knowledge that he is Iron Man . In this movie the military and the government are trying to get the Inventor's secret and making the suit . However, Tony keeps it a secret and because of so much pressure from the government and other forces he snaps but is able to rise above his faults. In the movie he is confronted by a villain , through Mickey Rourke's Identity and it was one of the most exciting part for me . I also liked Scarlett Johannson's character . The movie has a packed action adventure and good versus evil theme. In the movie Ironman forges new alliances and confronts powerful new forces. Much as I'd want to share the story , twists and turns I don't want to spoil your movie experience . So happy watching !

Making waves to bring pride and honor !

]]> Yes Falcons! Alexandra Goyeneche our certified Falcon and MdO swimming siren is definitely a winner. Alec , is in the 6th Grade and have been training as a swimmer for two years now. Alec hits the pool everyday after school . Her level of discipline is a true testament that dedicated people can achieve great things. Alec is blessed with very supportive Parents and is happy to be given a chance to compete and reach for her dreams. Alec is a Soar High Scholar of MdO just like her Daddy who has raked in tons of medals for Montessori de Oro .

Recently Alec joined Palarong Pampook , representing not just Montessori de Oro but Cagayan de Oro as well ! Alec won 3rd place in the 50 meters butterfly individual competition, 200 meters butterfly , and 50 meters freestyle. Alec also won second place in the 100 meter freestyle competition . First place in the 4x100 medley relay , and another Gold in the 4x 100 freestyle relay . whew!

Alec's fellow Falcon , Lorence Janubas also competed and won third place on the 100 meter freestyle relay and 2nd place in the 50 meter freestyle competition.

As an MdO Falcon I am proud of Lorence and Alec for Unfurling our Green , Silver , and Gold Emblem !!! Keep up the good work Falcons!!! Can't wait to see you compete at Palarong Pambansa!
